One Meter Per Resident Requirements
It is important for water customers to receive a continuous and adequate supply of water. It is also important to provide that water ensuring that it is protected from contamination. In order to do this, TCEQ has written rules to protect both the customer and the water utility that call for one meter per residence or commercial connection.
Call Before You Dig!
Before you begin any digging or excavating around your home, please call SWSC. We will be happy to come to your home or business to locate water lines. If an individual or company digs without getting a location done, they are liable for any damage caused to the property or equipment located in the area. Please try to call SWSC office at least two days before you plan to dig. Our office number is 903-342-3525. We appreciate your help and look forward to working with our members.
Standard Residential Service Rates

The first bill (green) is mailed out on the last day of the month and due in the office on or before the 15th of the following month. The 2nd bill (red) is due in office BEFORE 8:00 A.M. on the disconnect date, which is stated on the bill. If the bill is not paid before the disconnect date, your meter will be locked. The 2nd bill (red) is mailed on the 16th of every month and includes a $15.00 late charge pursuant to our tariff.
If you have been locked out, you must pay the balance IN FULL, which includes the $100.00 Lock fee before you will be unlocked. To ensure your meter is unlocked the same day, payment is required before 3:00PM. Sharon WSC does not unlock meters after hours or on weekends/holidays.
Please remember that bills are always due on or before the 15th. We cannot be responsible for bills OR payments lost in the mail. There are some areas in which payments take longer than others to get to our office. Please allow 8-10 working days for your payment to get to us, and more if payment is due around holidays. If you get a second notice, please call to ensure that we have received your payment.
New Standard Service (Tap & Box Required)

Relocation of Member's Meter with Same Tap & Box $350.00
- New meter location shall not exceed 25' from existing meter box, shall utilize existing corporation stop valve and service line (no public road crossings allowed).
- If relocation involves trenching or boring beyond the 25' maximum, see tariff "Schedule of other Fees" for additional rates.
